We are thrilled to share that Skin Cancer Champions has received two Bronze Awards at the Spring 2026 Digital Health Awards! The recognition spans two categories and honors our work to make trusted, accessible, and engaging education available across the full range of non-melanoma skin cancers, for patients, caregivers, and clinicians.
Honoring Patient-Centered Education Across Every Diagnosis
Presented by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), the Digital Health Awards recognize the best digital health resources across the industry. Being recognized in two categories this year is especially meaningful to us because it reflects something we have always believed: non-melanoma skin cancer is not one disease. It is a family of diagnoses, each with its own questions, treatment paths, and emotional weight.
That is why our community is built to meet patients where they are, whether they are facing the most common diagnoses or the rarest.
Why This Award Matters
Skin Cancer Champions was designed to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and community support, with a focus that goes wider than any single diagnosis. Our work covers:
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC), and rare cancers including adnexal carcinoma, extramammary Paget's disease, sebaceous carcinoma, and DFSP
Diagnosis-specific conversation centers, so members can connect with others walking the same path
Expert-led webinars and Patient Panels covering diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, and long-term care
Clinician-developed resources curated for clarity and empathy
These Bronze Awards from the Digital Health Awards validate the quality and breadth of our educational efforts. More importantly, they recognize the real-world impact we have had in helping our members across every diagnosis feel empowered and informed on their journey.
A Year of Growth
This recognition arrives during our biggest year of growth so far. In October 2025, we launched our expanded digital platform, adding a free public space alongside our private patient and caregiver community. We deepened our live programming, and we continued investing in our "Living With" patient webinar series, so members can hear directly from others who have walked the same path.
Thank You to Our Champions
We share this honor with every one of you, our members, supporters, experts, and advocates. Whether you are here for BCC, SCC, Merkel cell, or one of the rare diagnoses most people have never heard of, your engagement, feedback, and passion help shape our resources and guide our growth.
This milestone is not just a celebration of our work, it is a celebration of your voices, your stories, and the collective strength of the Skin Cancer Champions community.
