Topical treatments for EMPD, DFSP, and AFX

Topical Treatments for Extramammary Paget’s Disease (EMPD)
Surgery is usually needed for EMPD, but certain topical treatments may be considered when surgery isn’t possible or for symptom relief. Options include imiquimod (boosts immune response), 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (stops cancer cell growth), corticosteroids (reduce itching and inflammation), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) (destroys surface lesions), topical retinoids (regulate cell growth), and calcipotriene (stimulates immune response against tumor cells). Evidence for these treatments is limited, and more research is needed to confirm effectiveness specifically in EMPD.
